The AccelAir 2 Cable Blowing Machine (89500) is the latest complement to the range of best in-class fiber optic blowing equipment available from GMP. Designed to suit the smaller end of fiber range, the AccelAir 2 installs cable diameters of .8 mm all the way up to 3 mm into microducts ranging from 3 mm to 10 mm OD.
When installing cable with diameters that range from 0.8 mm to 1.5 mm, the AccelAir 2 comes with built-in buckle protection to help safeguard the small fibers from damage. The AccelAir 2 installs cable incredibly quickly, with speeds up to 100 meters (328 feet) of cable per minute. When using the buckle protection for smaller cable, blowing speed is limited to 50 meters (164 feet) per minute to ensure that the machine can shut down if it senses that the cable is starting to buckle. The machine will also sense when you are at the end of a cable run and shut down automatically when used in conjuction with the supplied air stopend kit.
The AccelAir 2 requires an external power supply of 120 volts to 240 volts of AC power, or the optional 24 volt lithium polymer battery can be used in situations when you don’t have direct access to an outlet. The max air pressure for cable blowing is 220 PSI, with a maximum airflow of 8.5 cubic feet per minute. GMP also offers the AccelAir Gasoline Powered Air Compressor (89019) as an accessory. The compressor is fitted with after cooling, filtration and air-drying to take full advantage of the viscous drag effect for maximum fiber blowing length.
