The Trailer-Mounted Ramrod Duct Rod Pusher (88900) makes the job of placing lines in old or occupied conduits much easier, with less personnel. The trailer-mounted hydraulically driven, gas powered pusher is equipped with 1000 feet of 1/2 in. diameter toneable duct rod, and it pushes and pulls with forces up to 300 lbs. You can also apply a signal to the toneable duct rod and use a receiver to follow the path the toneable duct rod takes through the conduit system.
Instead of piecing together the powered duct rod pusher, it already comes set up on a trailer, eliminating the need for time-consuming setup and breakdown. When conduits get filled with silt and mud, the ramrod may help get you through the blockages. It’s a powerful and durable tool that eliminates the pure drudgery of hand-rodding.
The Ramrod Package contains the Inner Duct Attachment Tool (89387) which forms a quick and sturdy attachment point for the Power Duct Rod Pusher feeder tube in a hand hole or manhole. This tool eliminates the need to tie off to a ladder or some other point. You can also use an optional Duct to Duct Adapter (89383) which securely and safely positions the feeder tube in line with the existing occupied innerduct.
GMP has also developed a version of the Duct Rod Pusher (88901) that is now equipped to handle 1000 feet of 3/8 in. diameter toneable duct rod material for conduits that have smaller bending radius requirements and tighter radiuses. It has the same pulling force as the larger rod, and the same ability to add a tone signal.
