At GMP, we’ve always taken pride in being able to provide our customers with some of the best cable blowers on the market, suited for all kinds of cable blowing jobs. However, when it comes to cable blowing, GMP has all the tools you might need to do the job and do it right. Here are some of the major tools to making cable blowing a breeze:

Micro Fiber Air Compressor

Air Compressor for Micro Fiber Cable Blowing Machines

This air compressor was designed specifically for use with our Micro Fiber Cable Blowing Machines, such as the AirStream. The Micro Fiber Air Compressor packs the high pressure of a much larger air compressor into a compact, easy-to-manage package. Both reliable and efficient, this screw compressor is powered by a gasoline engine that provides a maximum working pressure of 220 psi. In the small duct used for micro fiber cabling, this allows a user to blow cable up to two miles, depending on specific conditions. To learn more about the Micro Fiber Air Compressor, click here.

Mini Cable Fleeter

GMP has a variety of cable fleeters available depending on a user’s need, including the Trailer-Mounted Cable Fleeter and the Micro Cable Fleeter, which is used for cable blowing operations involving micro cable. The Mini Cable Fleeter is best suited for cable blowing operations involving larger microfiber. This Fleeter can store up to 6500 ft. (2000 meters) of 11mm diameter cable or 31000 ft. (9500 meters) of 5mm diameter cable. An easier and more efficient option than manually “figure eighting” cable at the midpoint, the Mini Cable Fleeter is used after cable has been installed in the first portion of the duct route. Feeding the remaining cable into the Fleeter makes it easier to blow the end of the cable into the second portion of the duct while also protecting the cable from pedestrians, vehicles, and contamination from mud, soil, or dust. 250 CFM Compressor Aftercooler

Cable blowing involves using a high volume of compressed air. The outlet temperature of the compressed air is significantly higher than the ambient air temperature and, at times, can soften the HDPE innerduct. Our 250 CFM Compressor Aftercooler (also available in a 450 CFM model) is designed to cool compressed air and uses a heavy-duty moisture separator and coalescing filter to remove any water droplets prior to air even entering a cable blowing machine. With a portable design for maximum mobility and Chicago fittings on the inlet and outlet connections for maximum versatility, this machine is an essential in any cable blowing operation. Cable Overblowing Junction Box

Cable Overblowing Junction Box

Available in three different sizes, our Cable Overblowing Junction Box makes it that much easier to install new cable or innerduct into an existing occupied innerduct in sizes of 1 1/4 inches, 1 1/2 inches, or 2 inches in diameter. The aluminum base and lid of the Junction Box form a pressurized chamber, which then is connected to one end of the occupied innerduct. The existing cable then exits the box through another opening, and a third branch of the Junction Box connects to a cable blowing machine, allowing the new cable to be placed seamlessly in the occupied innerduct. Included with the Junction Box is a collection of seals ranging in size from 7.5 to 20mm. To learn more about the Cable Overblowing Junction Box, click here.
