The large diameter Reel Caddy is built to support and dispense drop cable quickly and easily. The reel caddy supports reels up to 30 in. (762 mm) in diameter and easily accommodates multi port deployment on cardboard or plastic reels. It will support reels up to 200 lbs. (90kg) with a minimum 1 1/2 in. (38mm) spindle diameter.
The caddy is lightweight and folds flat for compact storage. It’s fabricated from durable powder coated steel tubing for years of dependable service, and it’s simple to setup with one hand. GMP also offers a Reel Caddy for External Multi Port (70403) with a flange to keep the port away from the caddy during payout.
If you are dealing with particularly wide reels, the Reel Caddy XL will help you get the job done with the capacity to support reels up to 33 in. (838mm) in diameter and 24 in. (610mm) in width. It can also be used to dispense mule tape or small reels of Microduct. The supplied two shafts accommodate reels with arbor diameters between 2 (51mm) and 3 (76mm) inches.
Much like the basic Reel Caddy, it’s lightweight, folds flat, and is made from durable powder coated steel.
The Reel Bucks provides a tough, easily maneuvered and portable frame that’s ideal for supporting any reel up to 50 in. (1270mm) in diameter. The buck comes in three options. If you’re looking to handle a single reel, there is a reel buck with a 42 in. (1067mm) long spindle bar (71669). If you want to handle two reels at once, the reel buck with a 60 in. (1524mm) long spindle bar (71678) will get the job done.
If you’re looking to handle even large diameter innerduct reels, GMP also offers a version for up to a 84 in. (2137mm) diameter drum (71679).
The frame of each reel buck is made of rectangular and round steel tubing and is protected with a durable powder coat finish to help prevent corrosion. It’s easy for one person to handle, and also makes it much simpler to roll the reel to the job site.
The Pole Mount Spindles (75984)
GMP’s Pole Mount Spindles come in 2 different sizes. The smaller pole mount spindle (75984) has a 1.5 in. spindle shaft. The larger pole mount spindle (75985) has a 2.5 in. spindle.
Each spindle is equipped with a Ratchet Binder having a 2 in. (508mm) wide web to provide a sturdy and temporary attachment to the telephone pole without damage. Their durable, bright yellow powder coat finish provides visibility and helps protect against corrosion.
