We are proud to highlight our committed staff in our monthly employee spotlights. This June, we would like to honor our Channel Sales Manager, Randy Trussell.
1. What is your role at GMP?
Channel Sales Manager / Western US (west of the Mississippi) is my official title.
2. What drew you to GMP originally?
I represent both GMP and Klein to the Telecom sector. I knew Klein as a “household” name among electricians.
And how long have you worked at GMP?
I began in April this year.
3. What is your favorite part about working for GMP?
I am knew to this industry, so I am learning something every day. Living in Texas, Covid restrictions are not as tight as in other areas of the US. So getting out and working with customers over the past few weeks, along with learning more about GMP/Klein is my favorite part of my day.
What has been your favorite project so far?
So far, my favorite project is prepping for my first demo Monday, June 15th at a very remote jobsite in the panhandle of Oklahoma with a contractor and his crew.
4. What’s something most people don’t know about you?
Some of the GMP team know this…I played college football; my oldest son played at the University of North Texas; my middle son played at Purdue and now my youngest currently plays at Kansas State. So it is not so much what people don’t know ( I am very transparent) but my passion for football and the team element that it requires and how that team element has helped me professionally.
